Hi all,
In the near future I’ll start the body-off restoration of my TR3A. (1959, >60k). Total strip down etc., including upgrades / alterations (purists: look away now!).
Anyway, one of the things right now is that I’m considering replacement of the seats. I think that the originals are too uncomfortable for long distance driving, including participating in HERO-like events after finishing restoration. I’ve seen some beautiful period correct seats on the ‘net (Revington, Racemettle). But, is there an alternative? E.g., do the seats of a Spitfire 1500 fit into a TR3A? Or are there other solutions. For now, I’m not considering installing Mazda seats. I think that they are too modern.
